POLK COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS NOT “JUST FOR THE FAIR “

 Maybe you have heard the rumors… If you thought the Polk County Fairgrounds is only used 4 days a year during the annual county Fair, you would only be partially right. However, there is so much more going on at the Fairgrounds.

Most nights during the summer, there is dog and horse training sponsored by the local 4-H organization. Projects like Archery and Rocketry make use of the wide-open spaces too! Many outside individuals or groups also use the fairgrounds for animal shows, animal sales, company picnics, weddings, graduation or birthday parties, family reunions and funerals. Over the winter months, private citizens rent storage space in many of the buildings, as well as outside storage.  There are even camping spots with electricity.

Come and enjoy the beauty and convenience that the fairgrounds has to offer.   Even after the 4 days of the Fair. You will be glad you did.

2024-2025 Storage Info & Rates

2024 Winter Storage In date is October 12, 2024 from 8am-Noon, Or until Full.

Winter Storage Out date is in April, 2025, from 8am-Noon. Actual date TBD

All rates quoted are for indoor, completely undercover storage.
Storage is on a first come, first served basis.  We do not take reservations.
We have buildings with open sides and the rates for storing in those buildings is 2/3 of the above-quoted rates.

The property must be removed in April, 2025 Date TBD.

Items are removed on a first in, last out system.  Owners of motorhomes and fifth wheel campers and those whose units are in the center walkway of the buildings are asked to be on the grounds at 8 am on takeout day.
