To enroll in the Fairest of the Fair or Junior Fairest of the Fair contest, please complete the attached form and mail it to Amy Strobach at 471 Polk/St Croix Cty Line Ave, Clear Lake, WI 54005 by June 10, 2017.
PRIZES TO BE AWARDED AT CORONATION CEREMONY July 30, 2017
1.Fairest of the Fair winner will receive $250.00
2.Fair of the Fair Attendant will receive $150.00
3.Junior Fairest of the Fair will receive $100.00
4.Junior Fairest of the Fair Attendant will receive $100.00
CONTESTANT ELIGIBILITY AND EXPECTATIONS
1)Must be a former or current exhibitor at the Polk County Fair.
2)Must be no younger than 18 on January 1, 2017.
3)Participate in the contestant judging process (date to be announced) at the Polk County Fair Park.
4)Be at the Polk County Fair as much as possible July 26 – July 30, 2017 to assist with Fair events as assigned on judging day.
5)Attend the Queens Tea on Sunday @ 12:00 in the Dance Pavilion.
6)Be at the coronation ceremony at the Polk County Fair Sunday, July 30, 2017 @ 2pm. on the Main Stage.
JUNIOR FAIREST OF THE FAIR
1)Contestant must be 9-10 as of January 1, 2017.
2)Must be a former or current exhibitor at the Polk County Fair.
3)Contestant will answer a question on stage, and two names will be drawn out of a bucket.
EXPECTATIONS OF THE 2016 POLK COUNTY FAIREST OF THE FAIR WINNER
1)Represent the Polk County Fair at events and activities in Polk County from July 2017 until the 2018 Fairest of the Fair Court is named. A list of events will be provided by the committee.
2)Participate in the State Fairest of the Fair Contest at the Wisconsin Association of Fairs convention in Wisconsin Dells, January of 2019. Expenses will be covered by the Polk County Fair Society.
3)The winner of this state contest will become a full-time 2019 summer employee of the Public Relations Department of the Wisconsin State Fair.
